Detection and analysis of mobile vehicles using low resolution remote sensing images

A method and system for processing images from an aerial imaging device is disclosed. The mobile vehicle analysis system receives an image from the aerial imaging device. The system can perform edge analysis on the image to identify a pair of edges corresponding to the road. The system can identify pixel blobs in images that contain neighboring vectors that match each other based on pixel attributes. The system uses a machine learning model to generate output identifying moving vehicles in the image. The system determines the number of mobile vehicles captured by the image and each mobile vehicle is associated with a corresponding pixel blob.
