Detection and analysis of moving vehicles using low resolution remote sensing images

A method and system for processing an image from an aerial imaging device is disclosed. The moving vehicle analysis system receives an image from the aerial imaging device. The system can perform edge analysis on the image to identify a pair of edges corresponding to a road. The system can identify pixel blobs in the image that contain adjacent vectors that match each other based on pixel attributes. The system uses a machine learning model to generate an output that identifies moving vehicles in the image. The system determines the number of moving vehicles captured by the image, and each moving vehicle is associated with a corresponding pixel blob.
