PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a laser pulse train for a material spectral inspection.SOLUTION: A spectroscopy includes: a step of forming a circulation optical field to a resonance device constructed so as to support a plurality of resonance modes of the circulation optical field while having a resonance length L and dispersion in a cavity; and a step of forming a frequency corm having a carry frequency ωand a plurality of corm modes in a frequency space and forming a pulse train of a laser pulse repeatedly generated by a frequency by a mode synchronous mechanism. The dispersion in the cavity is selected so that a reciprocating phase φ includes a frequency ω dependency in accordance with a following expression [numeric 8]. In here, m is an integral number applying an effective repeating ratio (mω) by combining mode intervals ωwith an optical carrying frequency (ω). The mode synchronous mechanism forms a connection of the resonance mode so that a frequency difference (Δ=ω-ω) between adjacent mode frequencies (ω,ω) becomes a liner function of an integral number mode frequency number n.SELECTED DRAWING: None
