The invention relates to castors, for example for a mobile wagon, which are operated via a selector linkage. To make castors which are operated in this manner easier to use, it is first proposed, with regard to the castors, that a first pair (4) of castors which can be braked and a second pair (5) of castors which can be fixed with respect to a running direction are provided, that the castors (6 and 7) which can be braked of the first pair (4) of castors are connected via a common first selector linkage (11) and the castors (8, 9) which can be fixed with respect to a running direction of the second pair (5) of castors are connected via a common second selector linkage (27). Both pairs (4, 5) of castors can be acted upon separately from each other by means of operating parts (16, 17) each having a free operating face (18, 19), and both operating faces (18, 19) are located in the region of the first pair (4) of castors. The invention also relates to a mobile wagon having two pairs of castors, the first pair of which is at the front and the second pair of which is at the rear as seen in the usual direction of travel of the mobile wagon.
