There are provided measures for realization of metallic line testing in scenarios utilizing remote power feeding via twisted pair copper lines. Such measures exemplarily comprise provision of a diplexer apparatus combining a lower frequency component path and a higher frequency component path to a compound path, the diplexer apparatus comprising said lower frequency component path configured to pass remote power feeding via twisted pair copper lines, said higher frequency component path, a first frequency selective filter circuitry electrically connecting said lower frequency component path to said compound path, a second frequency selective filter circuitry electrically connecting said higher frequency component path to said compound path, a detection circuitry configured to detect metallic line testing activity on said higher frequency component path, and a control circuitry configured to control, if said metallic line testing activity on said higher frequency component path is detected, electrically disconnecting said lower frequency component path from said compound path and establishing an electric connection from said higher frequency component path to said compound path bypassing said second frequency selective filter circuitry.
