The present invention relates to immunogens directed against lung cancer associated proliferative peptides and growth factors comprising peptide mimetics derived from preprogastrin and preprogastrin-releasing peptide coupled to an immunogenic carrier, and uses thereof in conjunction with chemotherapeutics in the early and advanced treatment of various malignant diseases, especially including lung cancers, both small cell lung carcinomas (SCLC), non- small cell lung (NSCLC) cancers and neuroendocrine-type cancers.
