The present invention relates to a machining assembly (1) of a surface, in particular intended to be mounted on a robot arm and chamfering, whose electro-spindle (2) is mounted on a double carriage, which allows it to move in a plane perpendicular to its axis of rotation, which can be precisely controlled in an active manner by a press-bead refocusing device. The additional balancing system compensates for the weight of the electro-spindle when it is in a position other than vertical.
