The purpose of this study was to describe the present situation in dance area from 7 grades to 9 at junior high school in Japan at Akita prefecture, and PE teacher is conscious what kinds of problem to teach this area. From 46 junior high school PE teacher’s report, we analyzed 28 school case plans and 86 descriptions about teacher’s under-conscious problems. As school present situation in dance area, three contents in dance area ; folk dance, rhythm dance and creative dance, includes as school curriculum plan with keeping good balanced. And there are 40 plans weight on rhythm dance, but not so extreme there are only 3 schools curriculum plan consists of only rhythm dance. The units consists of average 9 or 10 lessons during a grade, there are minimum 6 to maximum 15. As teacher’s under-conscious problems, from analysis contents of 86 descriptions, it categorize surroundings, plan, teaching dance, teacher’s problems, problems about students, enforcement, limits of making works, limitation of class situation, evaluation and others. From this study it made clearer there were many kinds of problems ; teacher’s problems lack of knowledge, teaching experience having some strategy against student reaction, student’s feeling of shame, student’s limitation of expression competence, having enough evaluation skills and viewpoint thinking dance characteristic and so on.
