Integração dos quadros interactivos multimédia em contexto educativo : um estudo de impacte numa escola de Leiria

É cada vez mais importante o desenvolvimento de métodos e estratégias quefomentem a qualidade do ensino e combatam o insucesso escolar. O recursoàs novas tecnologias da informação e comunicação, nomeadamente o uso doquadro interactivo multimédia, tem contribuído para a elaboração de materiaispedagógicos mais diversificados. O SMART Board veio trazer uma lufada dear fresco para a melhoria dos métodos e estratégias a implementar na sala deaula, promovendo a utilização de elementos multimédia durante a elaboraçãodos materiais pedagógicos e proporcionando maior diversidade e maiorinteractividade, permitindo novas formas de apresentação do conhecimento epossibilitando um maior envolvimento entre os intervenientes no processo deensino e de aprendizagem.A presente investigação foi desenvolvida por recurso à metodologia própria deum estudo de caso de investigação qualitativa, sendo que se recorreu a quatroprofessores e a 6 turmas, duas do 7º Ano e duas do 9º Ano, ambas do ensinoregular, e duas que, não pertencendo ao ensino regular, têm equivalência ao9º Ano: uma turma do segundo ano dos Cursos de Educação e Formação daárea de Electricistas de Instalações e uma turma do terceiro ano dosCurrículos Alternativos da área Artes Decorativas.Relativamente aos instrumentos de recolha de dados, foram realizados doisinquéritos aos alunos e um inquérito por entrevista aos professores. Osdocentes preencheram também Diários de Bordo por turma, no qual referiramalgumas vantagens/desvantagens da utilização do SMART Board em contextode sala de aula. No final do ano lectivo observámos, em cada turma, uma aulade resolução de exercícios/correcção da Prova Global.O estudo realizado permitiu retirar algumas conclusões, nomeadamente noque diz respeito a alterações nas práticas lectivas nas suas dimensões préactiva,activa e pós-activa; nas mudanças que ocorrem nas dinâmicas de salade aula quando se recorre ao SMART Board; e qual o impacte do uso destatecnologia na aprendizagem e motivação dos alunos.Finalmente apresentamos um conjunto de reflexões decorrentes do estudo,avançando sugestões para investigação futura. ABSTRACT: It is ever more important to develop methods and strategies that foment thequality of education and fight school failure. Resorting to new information andcommunication technologies, namely the use of multimedia interactive boards,has contributed towards the elaboration of more diversified pedagogicalmaterials. SMART Boards have brought about a breath of fresh air towardsthe improvement of the methods and strategies to be implemented in theclassroom, promoting the use of multimedia elements during the elaboration ofthe teaching materials and providing for wider diversity of these materials andgreater in class interactivity, allowing new forms of presentation of knowledgeand a greater involvement between the intervening parties in the teaching andlearning process.The present study was developed resorting to a case study methodology of aqualitative nature, involving four teachers and six classes two in the 7thGrade and two in the 9th, both in the regular education system, and two thatbelonging to this system, are considered equivalent to the 9th Grade: a class inthe second year of the Education and Training Course for InstallationElectricians and a class in the third year of the Alternative Curricula in the Areaof Decorative Arts.As to the instruments of collection of data, the pupils answered twoquestionnaires and an interview to the teachers involved was carried out. Theteachers also handed in their logbooks (one per class), in which they registeredadvantages and disadvantages of the use of the SMART Board in classroomcontexts. At the end of the school year we observed, in each group, a lessonon the resolution of exercises/correction of the Global Test using the SMARTBoard.The present study allowed us to draw some conclusions, namely as to changesin the teaching practices in the pre-active, active and post-active dimensions ofthe teaching activity; the changes that occur in the dynamics of classes wherethe SMART Board is used, and the impact of the use of this technology in thelearning and motivation of the pupils.Finally we present a set of reflections brought about by the study andsuggestions for future research in the area are put forward.
