The mission of the Technology Reinvestment Project (TRP) is to stimulate thetransition to a growing, integrated, national industrial capability that provides the most advanced, affordable military systems and the most competitive commercial products. Programs are structured to expand high quality employment opportunities in dual-use technologies that demonstrably enhance U.S. competitiveness and national security. The TRP workshop for the Technology Focus Area titled, 'High Density Data Storage Systems,' was held 6 May 1994 at System Planning Corporation in Arlington, VA. This focus area includes high density rewritable optical storage technology (10-20 gigabytes on a 5.25 inch (13.33 cm)
