This report describes the results of an R&D program that developed a pulsecombustion retrofit system (PCRS) for steel ladle preheaters and evaluated its benefits. This program was performed by Sonotech with the cooperation of Atlantic Steel Corporation, which provide technical support and the field experiment site at its steel mill in Cartersville, Georgia.
