In this report, a geometrical optics approach was developed for calculating phase211u001eand interferometric bearing angle variations of radio waves propagating in an 211u001einhomogeneous vertically stratified atmosphere with plane homogeneous layers. 211u001eEffects of the atmospheric refraction on the angular difference errors of two 211u001esimultaneously interferometric tracking target's were investigated analytically 211u001efor two different scenarios of that target rapprochement: (1) horizontal missile 211u001eapproaches to the target at the same altitude as the target, and (2) inclined 211u001emissile approaches to the target along the line connecting the interferometer and 211u001ethe target. Numerical calculations of refraction angle errors were carried out 211u001efor the following: (1) standard exponential radio atmosphere profile; (2) 211u001eexponential radio atmosphere profile with the near-earth refractive-index value 211u001eadjusted to the real measured (balloon) data, (3) real refractive-index profiles 211u001eretrieved from the stand balloon meterological data for specific climate 211u001econditions at Denver, Colorado, for two daytime and nighttime measurements for 211u001etwo seasons, summer and winter.
