Corrosion of Steel Piling in Nonmarine Applications

The report contains the findings of a study to provide knowledge on the magnitude211u001eof the problem of steel piling corrosion and to synthesize the current state of 211u001epractice in evaluating and predicting corrosion. A recommended practice for the 211u001eassessment of steel piling in nonmarine applications and a strategic plan to 211u001edevelop means to determine the condition and to estimate the useful life of steel 211u001epiling are provided. The contents of this report will be of immediate interest to 211u001egeotechnical engineers and bridge engineers.
