Women in Agriculture: Changing Roles and Current Outreach Techniques Technical note

An awareness of women's issues in agriculture in America is important for service providers at all levels of the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). There seems to be a correlation between gender and attitudes toward government regulation of the environment. Recent studies, including a 1996 Roper Starch poll commissioned by the National Environmental Education and Training Foundation, show women have a heightened interest in conservation of the environment.
