Strategies to Attract Auto Users to Public Transportation

The effectiveness of automobile parking strategies as a means of 211u001eincreasing transit ridership was analyzed. Eight strategies affecting the price 211u001eand availability of parking and transit service levels were examined, alone and 211u001ein combination, to assess their effects on travel mode choice, particularly 211u001etransit. The final chapter of the report is an implementation guide for 211u001etransportation planners and decisionmakers.
