MULI-Buslorry: Passenger and Goods Transport in a Multiple Buslorry. Report from211 the Swedish Part of the MULI-Project

In the MULI-project a new type of medium-sized vehicle suitable for both211u001epassenger and goods transporation has been developed in cooperation with a 211u001equalified vehicle supplier. The vehicle, the MULI-Buslorry (a vehicle for 211u001eMULtIple use), has a low floor, wide doors, a carefully planned passenger 211u001ecompartment with 13 seats based on the results of a special interior layout 211u001estudy, and a goods compartments specially adapted to transport goods from the 211u001ehealth care administration and also bus goods. In the Swedish test-site two MULI-211u001eBuslorries, adapted to the biogas fuel and equipped with a CNG engine, have been 211u001edemonstrated and evaluted in two interesting and innovative transport solutions-211u001eon a service/Hospital Route between NAL (Trollhattan/Vanersborg) hospital and 211u001eUddevalla hospital and on a Flexroute (a demand responsive service route) in 211u001eVanersborg. On both the test routes passengers and goods have been transported 211u001etogether.
