This Trainer's Manual is intended as a companion piece to Elder Mistreatment:211u001eEthical Issues, Dilemmas, and Decisions. Ethical practice has taken on a special 211u001eimportance for professionals working with abused, neglected, and exploited 211u001eelders. The primary objective of Elder Mistreatment is to demystify ethics for 211u001eelder-serving practitioners and to dispel the perception that ethics is merely an 211u001eabstract notion and, therefore, quite removed from the practice setting. In the 211u001ebook, three cases of potential or actual mistreatment are presented and then 211u001ediscussed from the perspective of physical and mental health clinician, social 211u001eworkers, lawyers, and clergy. The purpose is to show how the various professions 211u001eapproach the same ethical issues and dilemmas and how ethical practice can be 211u001eintegrated into the multidisciplinary context.
