The Constructive Engagement Resource Guide arose from the Computers and211u001eElectronics Sector Subcommittee of the EPA's Common Sense Initiative. The 211u001eresource guide examines the nature of Constructive Engagement and the 211u001eopportunities and challenges it offers to communities, industry, regulators, and 211u001eworkers. It presents a practical discussion of how to evaluate whether to use 211u001eConstructive Engagement and how to create and conduct an effective Constructive 211u001eEngagement process. The guide is targeted to the computer and electronics sector 211u001eand related stakeholders, but the advice presented is transferable to other 211u001earenas. In preparing this guide, eleven diverse Constructive Engagement cases 211u001ewere studied, some through a literature review, others through interviews with 211u001eparticipants. Several people involved in Constructive Engagement efforts were 211u001ealso interviewed to develop this guide. The major lessons learned from this 211u001eresearch form the foundation of the resource guide.
