Evaluation of Composted Materials to Be Utilized in Florida Roadside and Median211 Plantings

A national survey of state departments of transportation showed that composted211u001eorganic materials were being used in varying degrees of extensiveness and 211u001eenthusiasm. The need for standardization of specifications used to describe the 211u001ematerials was often pointed out. Composts typical of those available in Florida 211u001ewere characterized in the laboratory and tested in greenhouse and roadside taisl 211u001eover a two year period.
