The Two Drains Project (Proposed Project) would be located approximately four miles southeastnof the City of Patterson, within the southerly portion of the District. The District is locatednsouth-western Stanislaus County, California (see Figure 1). The Project service area is located innsoutherly part of the District beginning near the intersection of Alfalfa Road and Marshall Roadnand stretches northwest to approximately Pomelo Avenue.nThe Proposed Project would capture and deliver agricultural drain water from the Marshall RoadnDrain and Spanish Land Grant Drain to portions of the District's southerly conveyance system.nThe Project would provide the District’s southerly service area with supplemental water andnPromote on-farm efficiency by giving the District the ability to meet the fluctuating demands ofnHigh-efficiency irrigation systems. As a result of this Project, an estimated 5,000 acre-feet pernyear of supplemental water supply would be made available to growers in the district. A locationnmap of the District and the Proposed Project is included in Figure 1.nReclamation would help fund the Proposed Project with $1,500,000 in grant funds through thenWaterSMART grant program. The remaining funding would be provided by the District.
