Graded Sediment Transport by Non-Breaking Waves and a Current

摘要

This thesis focuses on the modeling of time-averaged sediment concentration and velocity profiles as a result of the action of waves and a current. An important investigated aspect is the effect of the grading of the sediment bed on the resulting sediment transport. This thesis has two main objectives. The first objective is to increase insight into the effect of hydraulic parameters, such as the wave height, the wave period, the mean current velocity and the water depth, on time-averaged sediment concentration and velocity profiles. The second objective is to study the effect of the grading of the sediment bed on these profiles.
