National Compensation Survey: Milwaukee-Racine, WA., September 2005

The tables in this bulletin summarize the NCS results for the Milwaukee-Racine, WI, metropolitan area. Data were collected between March 2005 and April 2006; the average reference month is September 2005. Tabulations provide information on earnings of workers in a variety of occupations and at different work levels. Also contained in this bulletin are information on the program, a technical note describing survey procedures, and an appendix with detailed information on occupational classifications. Most of the earnings estimates in this bulletin are presented as mean hourly earnings. Mean weekly and annual earnings, and the corresponding hours, also are provided for full-time employees in specific occupations. Some occupations, such as teachers and firefighters, typically have shorter or longer work schedules than do the majority of full-time workers. The weekly and annual estimates are useful for comparing the earnings of occupations having different work schedules.
