This report contains official Pakistan rice export data for CY 2004-2006. Total rice exports increased 81 percent over this period reflecting a 125 percent increase in IRRI variety exports and a 13 percent rise in Basmati exports. During CY 2006, Pakistan exported more than 3.5 MMT of rice valued at a record $ 1.158 billion. Major destinations for Pakistan's IRRI varieties include Cote d'Ivoire, Iran, Kenya, Mozambique and Afghanistan. Major destinations for Basmati rice include Dubai, the UAE and Iran.
