United States Mint Report to Congress on Operations, Fourth Quarter FY 2008

This is the Fourth Quarter FY 2008 United States Mint Report to Congress on Operations. In a conference report to Public Law 104-52, enacted November 19, 1995, which created the United States Mint Public Enterprise Fund (PEF), Congress directed the United States Mint to report quarterly on implementation of the PEF. This report is designed to fulfill that requirement. FY 2008 fourth quarter total revenue increased 22 percent from the same quarter last year. Circulating revenue decreased by 22 percent, and numismatic revenue decreased by 21 percent, while bullion revenue increased by 321 percent compared to fourth quarter FY 2007 revenues. FY 2008 year-to-date total revenue was six percent above FY 2007 fourth quarter cumulative revenue.
