Tracking tests were conducted with a scout bomber as the target. Three types of courses were flown: high altitude attack, high altitude pass, and high altitude circle. Four methods of tracking were tried on each type of course: Manual optical, manual radar pip-matching, manual radar meter-centering and fully automatic radar. In all cases, tracking was computer-aided. The table below, taken from Figure #19 of this report, lists for each method of tracking the percent of time during which the tracking errors in bearing and elevation were less thann±15 minutes of arc
