Navigation Marks Collision Detection Based on Millimeter Wave Radar and Accelerometer

The navigation mark often collides with sailing ships while working. It is important to establish the navigation mark collision detection system in order to reduce the collision between the navigation mark and the sailing ships and determine the ship that is causing the trouble. According to the features of the navigation mark and the current detection technique, a kind of navigation marks collision detection system is established. In the collision alarm aspect, the distance, which is between the navigation mark and the ship nearby, is measured by millimeter wave radar. When the distance is less than the critical value, which is set in advance, the alarm information will be transmitted to the administration of navigation affairs through AIS, and the image information of the ship will be recorded by the camera on the navigation mark. In the collision detection aspect, the accelerometer is used to judge whether there is a collision occurring through detecting the acceleration of the navigation mark.
