In a previous report, a method of treating heat transfer at high Prandtl numbers in laminar boundary layer flows was developed. The method is essentially one of obtaining the asymptotic behavior of the heat transfer coefficient on the Prandtl number by a further coordinate stretching in the thermal boundary layer equation, based on Prandtl number, similar to the coordinate stretching based on Reynolds number used in the standard velocity boundary layer analysis.nIn this report, a further example of the application of the method is given. The Hamel flow in a converging channel with constant wall temperature is treated, and the asymptotic dependence of the local heat transfer coefficient is obtained.
