Study on the Scattering of Electromagnetic Waves by a Paraboloid of Revolution

摘要

The problem of scattering of electromagnetic waves from a conducting paraboloid of revolution arises from the use of such a device in radar and scatter propogation antenna applications. The gain characteristics of this shape are desirable while the design considerations are relatively easy. However due to the form of the mathematical description of this type of surface an exact solution of the problem for the scattered field has not been carried out for the case of a finite reflector.
