The solution to the equations describing interior ballistic phenomena is a long and tedious hand computation which requires the use of several approximations, if any degree of speed is to be achieved in the computations. The computer also made possible the use of a more correct form of one of the fundamental equations. Comparisons between the two methods of solution are made here. This report also contains a description of a unique method of solving a problem in gun design.
