As a result of the study made during this contract period it is now possible to evaluate those areas in which further investigation would most probably reduce the overall cost of desalination by the liquid-liquid extraction process.nIt is, however, only fair to the process to consider the points of major costs in light of potential improvements in the processes which may occur in the next few years.
