It was of interest to determine whether pretreatment with lipotropic factor, choline chloride alone and in a combination with alpha tocopherol acetate (Vitamin E) as well as alpha tocopherol acetate alone, would prevent this effect of L-Asparaginase. Pretreatment with choline chloride alone, choline chloride and alpha tocopherol acetate (Vitamin E) and alpha tocopherol acetate alone, failed to prevent either BSP retention or fatty liver produced by L-Asparaginase in Rhesus monkeys.
