PROBLEMS ON HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER IN BIOTECHNOLOGY

Over the past several decades the analytical techniques used in heat and mass transfer analysis have been applied to the study of heat and mass transfer processes within biological systems. The degree of complexity of these analyses have increased as the level of understanding and the degree of description of biological systems has increased. The need for the heat transfer engineer to perform analyses has stretched over a host of situa¬tions including those of the research physiologist, various practical situations involving the interaction of man and his environment, and a variety of clinical situations which can ultimately lead to enhanced patient care.
