摘要

The report provides guidance to community planners and decision-makers facing subsidence problems over abandoned mines. The aims of the project were to demonstrate the feasibility of backfilling underground mine voids for the prevention and alleviation of surface subsidence;assess the relative effectiveness of the process,its cost and benefits,and its potential utility in other applications;determine how the process might be applied in other cities;and determine whether the process advances the technology for subsidence prevention.
