The ferruginous hawk (Buteo regalis) is the largest of the North American Buteo hawks. It is found chiefly in the semi-arid regions of the western United States and the southern most portion of the prairie in the Canadian province. The ferruginous hawk is endangered in Oregon. Diet consists mostly of lagomophs and rodents.
