Field Test with Helicopter Applications of Gardona Against Gypsy Moth in Pennsylvania

Gardona was evaluated as a candidate toxicant for gypsy moth suppression in a field test. Egg-mass counts and defoliation estimates were made before and after spraying. Qualitative and quantitative spray-deposit assessments were conducted. A chemical assay of leaves, soil, and water was made to determine residues. Data suggest that Gardona failed to affect the gypsy moth.
