Response of Pole-Size Lodgepole Pine to Fertilization

Large, significant increases in annual volume, basal area, and bole area growth, as well as grass production in the understory, were obtained during a 4-year period after application of N, P, and S. Measurements of annual radial wood growth indicate that these favorable responses will last longer than 4 years.
