Proceedings: A Workshop on Issues Pertinent to the Development of Environmental Protection Criteria for Radioactive Wastes Held in Reston,Virginia on February 3-5, 1977.

摘要

The purpose of the workshop was to address in-depth issues relevant to the development of environmental criteria for all radioactive waste. The question of standards for high-level radioactive wastes was also addressed. Three formal topics were discussed:Approaches to Radioactive Waste Management Criteria Development;Risk Considerations of Radioactive Waste Management;and Long-Term Implications of Radioactive Waste Management. The information developed will constitute a major input in development of criteria by EPA. This input will be used,together with technical data,to formulate the criteria for radioactive wastes and specific standards for high level radioactive waste.
