Monitoring the Substantive Progress of Federal Research and Development Programs

摘要

The report documents the results of interviews with seven managers of federal research programs. The interviews were designed to provide information about approaches used by program managers in monitoring substantive aspects of research projects. They were undertaken as part of an ongoing study of the management of federal R&D programs.
