An Overview of Some Mathematical Topics Used in Digital Image Processing,

摘要

In the present paper some mathematical theories used in digital image processing are shown. The material is a description of concepts and main ideas,avoiding detailed mathematical proofs;however,the references of those proofs are given. Section 1is a study about how to express linear processing operations in two-dimensional systems. In section 2an equivalence between digital and analog signal processing is shown. Section 3provides an overview of two-dimensional transforms and some of their uses in digital image processing by general purpose computers. Section 4shows the application of some concepts given in Section 3specially focused to filter theory.
