摘要

The primary purpose of this analytic study was to assess the reliability of the Driving Habits, History, and Exposure Survey instrument. The scope of the analysis included reliability assessment of personal reports of collisions, violations, and driving exposure estimates. Additionally, an assessment was made of student response rates and the adequacy of the design of items and questions to obtain the desired information. The reliability assessment was made primarily by comparing student Survey responses with responses from an individual student interview, for a selected sample of project students. Also, Survey responses for collision and violation involvement were compared with official records of collision and violation involvement.
