摘要

On the basis of the data obtained in this investigation, NIOSH has determined that a hazard from overexposure to embalming chemicals, including formaldehyde, at the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, did exist during the time the exhaust system was not operating at full potential. Accordingly, recommendations along with a discussion of the ventilation system have been incorporated into the report as a guide for the control of potential or increased exposures that result from embalming operations.
