Topics in the Analyses of the Effects of SIME/DIME on Marital Stability

This report addresses several issues regarding the authors' earlier reports on the effects of the Seattle and Denver Income Maintenance Experiments on marital dissolution. A separate chapter is devoted to each of the issues of: reestimation of earlier work using data from the final SIME/DIME data base, analysis of the variation of the experimental effects over time, issues of attrition from the SIME/DIME sample, race-ethnic differences in the experimental effects on marital dissolution, rates at which women reconcile and form new marriages after dissolution of their original marriage, and use of retrospective marital history data to estimate the experimental effects on marital dissolution.
