摘要

Chronic administration of antipsychotic drugs produces a variety of alterations in central dopamine (DA) neurons, including behavioral supersensitivity to DA antagonists, increased DA receptor density and tolerance to the elevation of DA metabolites elicited by these drugs when administered acutely. Concurrent chronic treatment with lithium (Li) prevents both haloperidol-induced behavioral supersensitivity and the increase in DA receptors.
