The Permittivity of Bitumen: Determination Using a Concentric-Electrod Dual-Capacitor

The development is described of an improved method of determining the permittivity of bitumen, using a stainless-steel concentric-electrode dual-capacitance cell. The new cell has proved durable, and is now available commercially. The test method is at present a proposed method of the Institute of Petroleum, and it is intended that the test will also become a British Standard. (Copyright (c) Crown Copyright 1981.)
