Erosion on Very Stony Forest Soil during Phenomenal Rain in Webster County, West Virginia

On July 15 and 16, 1979, at least 6 inches of rain fell in central West Virginia during 3 hours, a storm of return period longer than 1,000 years. More than 6 miles of logging roads were examined for evidence of soil erosion and sediment delivery to streams in the report.
