Reducing Pollutant Emissions: Gas Finds a New Niche

GRI is researching new technologies for using natural gas to control emissions from utility and industrial boilers. GRI's program emphasizes integrating gas reburning with gas-enhanced dry sorbent injection for simultaneous reduction of NOx and SOx emissions. Research projects are described, and the potential market and competing environmental control techniques are discussed.
