摘要

The ability to understand and predict temporal and spatial patterns of air pollutant effects on vegetation continues to constitute an important need in agricultural and natural resource management. Thus, in the report the authors describe and evaluate the state of published mathematical models of air quality and vegetation response. The authors also identify the limitations in these models and describe some basic biological and statistical concepts of plant response processes useful in experimental design toward a new and progressive approach to the problem analysis.
