Review of Analysis Methods for Mechanically Fastened Joints in Composites

摘要

A literature review of analysis methods for mechanically fastened joints in composites is presented. Included are typical analytical procedures such as for the load distribution in the joint, detailed stress analysis in the vicinity of the fastener holes and static strength prediction, as also adopted in various state-of-the-art design codes. The different procedures with the advantages and short-comings are discussed in the report. Finally, some experimental evidence on failure modes and failure criteria is reviewed.
