PURPOSE: A mechanical joint composite pile and a method of analyzing the behavior of the pile are provided to design a mechanical joint composite pile most suitable for field and ensure safety through the optimized design of the pile. CONSTITUTION: A method of analyzing the behavior of a mechanical joint composite pile is as follows. On the assumption that all materials are steel, analysis on the vertical and/or horizontal load of a steel pipe pile is performed(S10). The position of the joint of the composite pile is calculated(S20). The material of the composite pile is input(S30). The step S10 is repetitively performed(S40). The stability of the composite pile is determined(S50).
