Sources of Artificial Reef Information in Florida (Fourth Edition)

One-half of the artificial reefs in U.S. marine waters are in Florida, accordingto the national reef database of the Sport Fishing Institute. Of the 329 permitted Florida reefs identified in the Artificial Reef Atlas (Pybas, 1991), over a third (119) have been authorized since 1987. The directory is an update of an 1987 compilation of persons and organizations involved with the design, permitting, construction, mapping, sponsorship, assessment, administration and management of artificial reefs in Florida. It represents the best available information at this time.
